  1. The default metric equivalent of PL 7/16 is 11.1mm. If you were to receive an import file that used PL 11mm that would be treated as a new dimension. You could change the metric equivalent of PL 7.16 to 11mm, but then 11.1mm would be treated as a new dimension. Select the Alternates tab to the right of the dimension list.

The dimension alternates on that tab are the designations that will be recognized during import and redirected to the dimension selected on the left.

  1. To add PL 11mm as an alternate, enter 11mm in the input and click Add, enter 11 as the Alternate Dimension, and click OK.

Now, if you import a file that has PL 11mm into any module it will automatically be redirected and saved in the job as PL 7/16 (metric equivalent: PL 11.1mm).
