Emergency Uses

There are multiple situations that may require emergency uses in order to log in. These could be the absence of a connection to the internet access to connect the online license server or an active Trimble ID. In order to use the emergency uses the configuration window must be blank/empty.

Each machine initially has only three Emergency uses. Care should be taken not to use them; unless it is absolutely necessary. Should all emergency uses be exhausted, it is important to contact the local support.
Example: No Internet Access or Loss of Internet Access
Loss of internet would appear similar to below.

If the user’s internet is down the user would enter in their database login and password and select login. They would get the message seen below prompting the user to sign in with the Tekla PowerFab Viewer configuration. If the user only needs to view the information this configuration will allow them to do this select yes or just have the configuration selected in sign in window.
If edits need to be made or items processed then the user will need to ensure the configuration window is blank and select no.

In this case they would then get the prompt to select to use an emergency use. Selecting yes uses one of the emergency uses and selecting no closes the program.

Example: User's Trimble Identity is Inactive or Not Created
For an inactive Trimble ID you would get the sign in window, but when closed you would get the Trimble ID login canceled when the window is closed without the sign in.

If the user had not created or chose to cancel the Trimble Sign in then they would be prompted to use the emergency use after acknowledging the canceled Trimble ID sign in, entering the database login and password, selecting to log in and then choosing no for the use of the Tekla PowerFab Viewer configuration as above.
