Tekla EPM 2020i release notes

Tekla EPM 2020i introduces several improvements to increase your productivity. Among other useful features, Tekla EPM 2020i contains customizable drawing logs, more flexible paint systems and clean systems, and user interface updates.

Project Management: customizable drawing logs

You can now store drawings in drawing logs in a more flexible way. You can create your own drawing logs for any type of drawings, such as single-part or general arrangement drawings.

To create and customize drawing logs that will be available for all new project management jobs:
  • In the Maintenance menu, select Project Management > Global Drawing Log Maintenance.

Note that the changes that you make in Global Drawing Log Maintenance only apply to new project management jobs. You need to customize drawing logs in existing project management jobs individually.

To create and customize drawing logs within a project management job:
  • On the Project Settings tab in an open project management job, click Drawing Setups and open the Drawing Logs tab.

By default, the drawing logs are set up to match Tekla Structures, so importing drawings that were exported with the Tekla EPM plugin now classifies drawing types automatically.

Administrators can also set which drawing logs are available for the shop floor workers in Tekla EPM Go:
  1. In the Remote Permissions dialog box, select View Drawings.

  2. Click Select Drawing Types.

  3. Move the drawing types that need to be available in Tekla EPM Go to the Included list.

Estimating, Project Management, Production Control: Close and open jobs

You can now set job statuses for estimating, project management, and production control jobs. This makes it easier to find the jobs that are still in progress, or Open, and the jobs that have already been finished, or Closed. Your existing Tekla EPM jobs are automatically set as Open jobs.

  2. In the Job Status list, select either Open or Closed.

In the Select Job dialog boxes, closed jobs are hidden by default. You can show closed jobs by selecting the Show Closed Jobs check box at the top of the dialog box.
